WHO ELSE IS SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS SONG?! #onrepeat

WELCOME TO THE BRIGHTSIDE

Happy Saturday peeps and greetings from sunny LOS ANGELES! I'm so excited to be on the west coast - I'm here with my dad, dad's GF, my grandma and Zach to watch Stephen run the LA marathon tomorrow. Send good vibes his way! <3

How's your mind today?

Other than getting this newsletter out a day late, my little mind is in pretty good shape! Last week, for the first time in a while, I felt like I had a pretty solid routine with yoga so I'm feeling nice and strong and healthy heading into this long weekend. I'm looking forward to delicious food, family time, and a chance to unplug. I have two books that I think I'll finally be able to finish - wish me luck!

Speaking of books ...

Ally, Alexa and I started a mini book club and met for the first time this week. We're reading Never Let Me Go, have you read it?

We had a blast eating cheese, drinking too much wine and we actually did talk about the book a lot. It was like being in high school again, but with fun homework. Anyway, the book is incredible, and it's fun to have motivation to read and discuss with friends. Bringing this & 1Q84 to LA and hoping to make serious dents in both.

Skincare Routine Update - two products to share

Earlier this year, I picked up an Herbivore mask (Blue Tansy) I was at Heyday. The winter weather was seriously disagreeing with my skin at the time and I was constantly red and flaky. My esthetician used this on me during my treatment and recommended it as something to use 2-3x a week to help level out my skin. I love it, it's really helped!!

And more recently, I picked up this toner at Credo. I had never used a toner before but I wanted something for in between moisturizing & cleansing to level out the PH in my skin. I've been using this one for about 2 weeks and I've noticed a big difference in the evenness of my skin! So yay success products.

What are your go can't-live-withouts?

Highs

The highlight of the week squeezing in a Wednesday night with Zach - he's been slammed with work and I've been running around like crazy after work recently, so we haven't had a lot of time to hang during the week. But we made time Wednesday night to go to a cool cocktail bar then our favorite pizza place in Jersey City and had a fun, unplugged night. ♥️

Lows

Not too many lows to report this week, thank goodness! If anything, just the looming task of my taxes that tI haven't even started, haunting me a bit. Hoping to keep up the good vibes throughout this weekend.

Doing anything fun this weekend?

Zach just got back from a long business trip, and we're so excited to catch up and spend the weekend together. He works in Flatiron so we love ending our Fridays and starting the weekend at Eataly. We're going to meet up there after work and pick up some fancy ingredients for dinner tonight!

I love this tiny little card case so much!

happy brightsiding,

Always here for an email pen-palship, even if (especially if!) we haven't caught up in a while. <3
